A Glorious Gospel Greeting
In Romans 1:1–7, Paul does far more than say hello. He raises the gospel banner of the Jesus Christ, the promised Davidic King, and introduces the heart of what he will unpack throughout the rest of the letter: the gospel of God, rooted in Scripture, centered on Christ, aimed at the obedience of faith, going to all nations, for the glory of the Triune God. In this follow-up post, we review the four movements of the passage and consider how this glorious gospel greeting should unite, strengthen, and stir the church for mission.
